Tips before you go.
- Alberobello (the trulli) is 1 hour by car, 1.5 by train. Day trip easily doable.
- Bari's old town (Bari Vecchia) has narrow streets where women still make orecchiette in their doorways.
- Puglia is hot, June through September means 30°C+. Plan inland walking for mornings only.
